The Visual Designer allows you to visually create your Xbase++ screens by dropping controls from the toolbar onto the form and dragging them around. The object inspector allows you to change the various Xbase++ object properties right on the form. When you are done editing, your program code will be updated to reflect the screen you’ve designed.

If you are new to Xbase++, the designer will write all of the properties into your code for each object, giving you a chance to familiarize yourself with the objects and their properties. If you are already comfortable with the properties, you can instruct the designer to only write the properties that do not have the default value (to reduce the number of lines in your code).
